    True Dual-Band Performance

    As a Yaesu dual-band transceiver, the FT-65R allows for one-handed operation of both the VHF (144-148 MHz) and UHF (430-450 MHz) bands, each equipped with an independent transmit power selector. No need to carry two single-band radios—one Yaesu dual-band unit meets all your needs.

    Three-Level RF Power Adjustment

    You can choose 5 watts for maximum communication range, 2.5 watts for repeater communication, or 0.5 watts for silent simplex calls. Simply press a button on the top panel to cycle through the power levels without navigating to menus, perfect for quick adjustments in the field.

    The standard SBR-25LI battery pack provides up to 9 hours (6 hours, 6 minutes, and 48 seconds) of playtime, while the optional 2500 mAh SBR-26LI battery pack extends this to 11.5 hours—enough for an entire competition weekend on a single charge.

    200 Programmable Stored Channels
    Each channel stores not only frequency and offset, but also CTCSS/DCS tone, power level, and scan group member information. Batch programming is easily achieved with a free PC program (with the optional SCU-35 cable).

    Quick Access Keys for Advanced Users
    The four side soft keys can be mapped to any menu item: weather alert, FM radio, VOX voice activation, flashlight, HOME channel, and even the hidden “ARTS” distance measurement mode. Muscle memory operation is achieved without scrolling.
