JVCKENWOOD released the Viking VP8000 digital two-way portable radio designed for mission-critical users. The Viking VP8000 is available in tri-band (VHF, UHF and 700/800 MHz bands), P25 and DMR. Its rugged construction and access flexibility make it ideal for the interoperability needs of fire, emergency services and law enforcement, and security operations.
New group 2.5 system
The new Cluster 2.5 system is a proprietary structure based on the DMR digital standard. Cluster 2.5 systems are easy to set up and efficient in digital format to meet the needs of education, manufacturing, healthcare and other commercial and industrial users. The system operates on the FB6 frequency, making it ideal for users in urban areas where dedicated FB8 frequencies may be rare.
